Samsung C&T's construction institutional sector announced on the 6th that it won a product award at the prestigious design competition 'iF Design Award 2025' with its Raemian upcycling goods.
The iF Design Award is the most prestigious award in the design field, initiated in 1953 by the International Forum in Germany. It is considered one of the top three design awards in the world along with Germany's 'Red Dot Design Award' and the United States' 'IDEA'.
This year, over 10,000 entries were submitted from 66 countries around the world. A total of nine institutional sectors, including product, interior, architecture, and user experience (UX), were evaluated comprehensively for design uniqueness, visual elements, and sustainability to select the award winners.
The three types of goods from Samsung C&T's Raemian brand are upcycling products newly made from the vertical protective nets installed temporarily at construction sites to prevent falling objects, repurposed into bags, pouches, and card wallets.
The colors of the green and gray spectrum, symbolizing the Raemian brand, were enhanced with the value of upcycling so that customers could experience the brand value in their daily lives.
The entry received high evaluations from the judges for its ideas and sustainability aspects and was selected for the product award. With this award, Samsung C&T achieved four consecutive years of recognition at the iF Design Award since 2022.
Jung Soo-yeon, director of Raemian Gallery, noted, 'This marks another opportunity to prove the international competitiveness of Raemian design' and stated, 'We will continue to pursue new attempts and challenges that can convey differentiated brand value.'
