The solicitation for the construction company at 'Jamsil Woo Sung 1·2·3' in the Jamsil-dong area of Songpa-gu, one of the largest redevelopment business sites, was unsuccessful. Samsung C&T, which was expected to bid, ultimately did not participate.

According to the association on the 4th, only GS Engineering and Construction participated in the bid that closed at 2 p.m. on that day for the selection of a redevelopment construction company. In September of last year, GS Engineering and Construction was the only participant in the first bidding for construction company selection. Under current law, if only one construction company participates in the bid, competition does not establish, and it is automatically unsuccessful. Two unsuccessful bids are required to transition to a negotiated contract.

However, since Jamsil Woo Sung increased the construction cost by changing the contract conditions in the second bid, a third bid must be conducted under the same conditions, and it must be unsuccessful in order to enter into a negotiated contract. If the bidding is unsuccessful until the third bid, there is also a possibility of transitioning to a negotiated contract with GS Engineering and Construction.

The Jamsil Woo Sung redevelopment is a large-scale project that aims to build 2,680 housing units in a 120,354 square meter area in Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, with four underground floors and 49 above-ground floors, and the construction cost amounts to 1.6934 trillion won.

Jamsil Woo Sung is about 200 meters from the Olympic Park Station on subway lines 2 and 9, and crossing the Tancheon stream connects to Samseong-dong and Daechi-dong.

To encourage competitive bidding, the association relaxed conditions, such as raising the construction cost per 3.3 square meters from 8.8 million won to 9.2 million won during the second construction company selection. During this process, the total construction cost also increased from 1.6198 trillion won to 1.6934 trillion won. However, other construction companies, including Samsung C&T, did not participate, resulting in a final unsuccessful bid.
