The Daekyo Apartment reconstruction project and the Shindang District 8 dwelling redevelopment project have passed the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Integrated Review Committee, taking the first step toward the projects.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government noted on the 28th that both projects passed the integrated review for project implementation approval at the second integrated review meeting held on the 27th.
The Daekyo Apartment reconstruction maintenance project in the Yeouido District of Yeongdeungpo-gu is a reconstruction project that will build four apartment buildings (43-49 stories) and a total of 912 dwellings. The internal complex will feature a track-shaped walking path planned for use not only by residents but also by local inhabitants. Community facilities such as a community center and a kids' café will also be established throughout the complex. Publicly contributed acceptance facilities, including public sports facilities, a senior welfare center, and youth cultural welfare facilities, will also be built.
After obtaining project implementation approval, management disposition plan approval, and undergoing relocation demolition, construction is expected to start in 2029. The integrated review suggested comprehensive examination of the traffic system related to the nearby apartment maintenance project as a condition for enhancement.
The target site for the Shindang District 8 project, located at 321 Shindang-dong in Jung-gu, is within the double station area of Cheonggu Station on subway lines 5 and 6 and is a residential area with excellent transportation convenience and educational environment, due to the proximity of an elementary school.
A total of 12 buildings, ranging from four underground floors to 29 above ground, with 1,159 dwelling units will be constructed at the target site. Plans include terrace houses utilizing the sloped terrain and children's parks, transforming the area into a pleasant, eco-friendly complex in the city.
Additionally, neighborhood and community facilities will be arranged in hilly areas to minimize the occurrence of retaining walls, and neighborhood commercial facilities have been concentrated along Dasan Road around Cheonggu Station to enhance the street's activation. The Shindang District 8 area is expected to undergo project implementation approval and commence construction next year, with completion anticipated in 2029.
