DL E&C was finally selected as the construction company for the public redevelopment project of the Yeonhui 2 district in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on the 24th. This is the first urban maintenance project awarded this year.
The Yeonhui 2 district public redevelopment project is aimed at developing 1,090 apartments and community facilities on the site located at 721-6 Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. DL E&C obtained the sole construction rights at the residents' general meeting held on the 22nd. The construction cost is approximately 399.3 billion won.
The Yeonhui 2 district is adjacent to Hongjecheon Stream and Ansan. The area has a strong transportation infrastructure, including the Internal Circular Road, the planned Seobu Line light rail, and the Hongdae Entrance Station, which is a transfer point for three lines. There are also rich living infrastructures like Hyundai Department Store in Sinchon, AK Plaza Hongdae, and the representative commercial area of Hongdae Entrance Station, Yeonnam-dong. The excellent education infrastructure is complemented by the proximity to Hongyeon Elementary, Yeonhui Elementary, Yeonbuk Middle, Myongji High, Chungam High, Myongji University, and Yonsei University.
DL E&C proposed 'e-Pyeonhan-sesang Yeonhui' as the new name for the district.
DL E&C plans to showcase a unique and distinctive exterior design considering the layout of the complex harmonized with nature. Additionally, they will reflect high-quality designs, from the creation of 'dePOEM Garden,' the specialized landscaping brand of e-Pyeonhan-sesang, to the installation of diverse community facilities tailored to various lifestyles of family members, featuring a 4-bay configuration for 81.3% of the units. Furthermore, they aim to provide the highest residential quality to residents by applying DL E&C's differentiated technologies, such as noise reduction systems and smart construction advanced management.
A DL E&C representative said, "We will showcase a new landmark in Seodaemun-gu that leads future value through DL E&C's differentiated complex design," adding, "Starting with the Yeonhui 2 district public redevelopment project, which is our first urban maintenance order this year, we will actively continue our order activities in major maintenance sites such as the 'Hannam 5 district redevelopment project.'
