Samsung C&T's construction division announced on the 23rd that it has been finally selected as the contractor for the Daelim Garak Apartment redevelopment project in Songpa District, Seoul.

The Daelim Garak redevelopment association approved the agenda to finally select Samsung C&T as the contractor during the general meeting held the previous day. The Daelim Garak redevelopment project, located on a 35,241 square meter site at 217 Bangi-dong in Songpa District, will consist of a total of 9 buildings with 867 units, ranging from 3 basement levels to 35 stories, and the construction cost is approximately 454.4 billion won.

The Daelim Garak redevelopment is located in a "super station area" adjacent to Bangi Station on Line 5, and it has a rich educational environment with nearby schools including Bangsan Elementary, Sayun Middle, Seokchon Middle, Bangsan High, and Changdeok Girls' High School. In addition, it is equipped with convenient residential infrastructure such as Olympic Park, Seokchon Lake, Lotte Hotel World, Songpa District Office, and large hospitals, all set against a beautiful natural backdrop.

Samsung C&T suggested the new complex name "Raemian Viachae." Viachae is a combination of the words for preparation (備), elegance (雅), and light (彩), meaning "a space that embraces elegant light" and "a space where elegance and harmony coexist."

First, the exterior of the complex will feature a balanced vertical mass and a horizontal rhythm, creating a natural harmony that highlights the aesthetic beauty of the residential buildings, along with unique facade patterns that reinterpret balconies in a modern way.

Located about 100 meters high, the sky community will offer prestigious spaces such as a sky lounge, guest house, and terrace with views of Olympic Park and Lotte World Tower. The sunken community on the lower levels will enhance openness and feature a variety of facilities like a dining café, fitness center, and library. There are also plans for street-type retail spaces within the complex.

In addition, the living performance will be significantly enhanced through specialized technologies, including an upgraded inter-floor soundproofing system and home platform Home Nick service, with various specialized floor plans such as view-oriented dining and multi-dimensional panoramic view living rooms set to be applied.

Meanwhile, the redevelopment association for the Hanyang 3rd Apartment, which is adjacent to the Daelim Garak Apartment, plans to hold a general meeting on the 22nd of next month to make a decision on signing a contract with Samsung C&T by private negotiation. If Samsung C&T is selected as the final contractor on that day, the two adjacent complexes will be developed as if they were one large-scale complex.
