Vice Minister Jin Hyun-hwan of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport noted on the 7th, "I expect that the sale of the Goyang Changneung district will serve as an important turning point for the supply of public housing in the capital region, including the third new towns."
Vice Minister Jin attended the opening ceremony of the housing exhibition center for the first village (A4·S5·S6 blocks) in the Goyang Changneung district held at KINTEX in Ilsan that day. He said, "I find it very meaningful that, thanks to the extensive efforts and active cooperation from the government, local governments, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), and other related agencies, we were able to proceed with the sale of the Goyang Changneung district without any issues."
Vice Minister Jin urged field representatives from LH and others to ensure thorough quality and process management so that the first village site can accommodate residents as planned, and to create dwellings that are pleasant and of high quality.
In addition, Vice Minister Jin anticipated that public interest would be high for this sales complex as it is located near the Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit (GTX)-A line and has many waterfront spaces such as Changneung Stream. He requested the representatives at the model house to provide sufficient explanations and guidance so that the public can easily understand information about this sales complex.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to smoothly promote 28,000 public dwellings, including 8,000 units planned for the third new towns this year, to ensure stable housing for young people and non-homeowners without disruption.
