KCC succeeded in a rebound in performance due to improved revenue in its silicon business last year.
KCC announced on the 7th that its consolidated operating profit for last year was 471.1 billion won, an increase of 50.7% compared to the previous year.
During the same period, sales rose by 5.9% to 6.6587 trillion won. Net profit increased by 217% to 293.2 billion won.
KCC's success in improving its performance despite the worsening construction market is believed to be due to improved revenue in the institutional sector of silicon. The silicon sector saw continuous improvement in profitability last year as the situation in China improved.
KCC's operating profit for the fourth quarter of last year was 98.3 billion won, an increase of 69.8% compared to the same period the previous year. During the same period, sales increased by 4.7% to 1.6575 trillion won. However, net profit turned to a loss of 86.5 billion won due to the reflection of one-time expenses.
