The Construction Mutual Aid Association announced on the 5th that it has recommended Lee Seok-yong, former president of NongHyup Bank, as the next chairman candidate.
The Construction Mutual Aid Association's Chairman Recommendation Committee selected Lee as the final chairman candidate after document and interview evaluations and recommended him as the 20th chairman of the association at the operational committee meeting held that day.
Lee, who was born in 1965 in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, is a financial expert who has served as the head of the Seoul Sales Headquarters of NongHyup Bank, head of the planning and coordination division of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and the 7th president of NongHyup Bank after joining the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation in 1991. He currently serves as a non-standing researcher at the Korea Financial Research Institute and is a visiting professor at Sungkyunkwan University School of Law.
The Construction Mutual Aid Association will hold a general meeting on the 19th to decide on Lee's appointment.
