The building housing Starbucks "The Yangpyeong DT" has come onto the market. The desired selling price is around 17.5 billion won. Kim Yong-gil, the representative of the sale's lead agent, RM Real Estate, noted, "The building for sale, 'Starbucks The Yangpyeong DT,' is currently 100% leased by Starbucks," and added, "The expected selling price is at the level of land prices for surrounding properties, which is more than 10% lower than the appraised value assessed by the first-tier financial institutions."
Kim noted, "If the commercial building market becomes active soon in line with the interest rate cuts, we can expect capital gains as well." The building is currently owned by Sky Value, the largest shareholder of Eastern Investment Development, which holds 51.4% equity (as of the end of 2023).
Starbucks The Yangpyeong DT is located at 76 Yanggeun-ro, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province. It is one of only 11 Starbucks special stores in the nation and is close to Yanggeun Bridge and the Yangpyeong County Art Museum. It has been in operation since 2020 and is the first Starbucks in Korea to bake bread in-store.
