The 'Bangbae New Dong-A Apartment' in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, will be reconstructed into a complex of 35 stories and 843 units.
The Seoul City government announced on the 17th that it passed the review proposal for two projects, including the 'Bangbae New Dong-A Apartment Reconstruction Project,' at the first integrated review committee meeting held on the 16th.
The site for the Bangbae New Dong-A Apartment reconstruction project is conveniently located near Bangbae Station on Subway Line 2, Bangbae Park, and Woomyeonsan Mountain, as well as being situated along main roads such as Hyoryeong-ro and Bangbae-ro, offering convenient transportation and ample green spaces.
With the approval of this review proposal, the apartment will be reconstructed into a residential complex comprising 843 units (including 109 public housing units) with 4 underground and 35 above-ground stories. A public library for local residents will be built with six floors, and a public walkway will also be established to improve access to nearby bus stops.
Due to the characteristics of the sloped land, community facilities will be placed on the northern side where elevation differences occur, and service facilities will be positioned on the western side.
The Yangdong District's 11th and 12th zones on Namdaemunro 5-ga in Jung-gu are business sites aimed at improving the area densely populated with goshiwons (small rented rooms) located between Seoul Station and Namsan, and restoring urban functions by constructing a building with 10 underground and 32 above-ground stories for office and community facilities.
The site offers a case of a cyclical maintenance method for reestablishing living spaces for goshiwon residents from Seoul Station. A total of 182 units of social welfare facilities and rental housing, which are planned to be accepted as contributed acceptance, will be prioritized for construction (currently at 58% completion), and after the goshiwon residents move into the rental housing, construction of the business facilities for this project will be initiated.
