Kim Jong-hoon, chairman of HanmiGlobal, said on the 2nd, "The crisis requires a counterintuitive mindset," and requested members to "establish ourselves as the most trusted corporations in the construction industry."
In his New Year's address that day, Chairman Kim noted, "There are always opportunities even in difficult and challenging crisis situations," adding, "The tougher the economy, the more conservative clients become in project execution, and their sensitivity to costs increases; during these times, we can respond to clients' needs by realizing value creation."
He continued, "If we look around carefully, we will encounter many opportunities that are waiting everywhere," stating, "M&A of distressed corporations and investment in distressed assets can also become good opportunity factors, and post-war reconstruction projects in Ukraine can present significant challenges."
Chairman Kim emphasized that based on HanmiGlobal's high level of trust, the priorities should be set as follows: ▲risk management ▲discovering new opportunities ▲profit-focused management ▲increased revenue ▲expansion of orders.
He stated, "During a recession, work tends to concentrate on trusted corporations, and excellence and differentiation are key elements of trust," adding, "This year, as various variables threaten the management environment, we must establish priorities and conduct scenario management with flexibility."
He also added, "Most of our members are shareholders and owners," stating, "When we unite and become an organization where 1+1 becomes 3 and 4, our excellence will shine."
