On Dec. 2, the value-up platform company YIDO announced that it had signed an integrated operation and management contract with the Urban Expressway Corporation for the Pyeongtaek–Buyeo–Iksan Expressway, which has a total length of 137.7 kilometers. The Pyeongtaek–Buyeo–Iksan Expressway is the longest private expressway ever in South Korea.

Under this contract, YIDO will carry out toll collection, daily road maintenance, facility maintenance, road patrol, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) maintenance until December 2064, a period of 40 years.

The Pyeongtaek–Buyeo–Iksan (Western Inland) Expressway starts in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, and connects three provinces and seven cities and counties, including Asan, yesan, Hongseong, Cheongyang, and Buyeo in Chungcheongnam-do, and Iksan in Jeollabuk-do. It is expected to effectively disperse traffic that is concentrated on the West Coast and Gyeongbu Expressway.

Additionally, YIDO also secured a new integrated operation and management contract for the Seosu-won–Gwacheon expressway with the Gyeonggi Southern Road Corporation. This means YIDO will operate and manage a total of 17 major private expressways and large tunnels, including the Ulsan Bridge, the largest single-span suspension bridge in South Korea, the Cheonan–Nonsan Expressway, the Yongin–Seoul Expressway, the Seosu-won–Osan–Pyeongtaek Expressway, the Pyeongtaek–Siheung Expressway, the Bibong–Maesong Expressway, the Incheon–Gimpo Expressway, the Gwangju–Wonju Expressway, the Daegu–Busan Expressway, the Pocheon–Hwado Expressway, the Changwon Pal-yong Tunnel, the Busan Sujeongsan Tunnel, the Sanseong Tunnel, the Baekyang Tunnel, and the University of Incheon Bridge.

Moreover, YIDO has also signed contracts for electrical safety management services at five sites, including the Geumgwang Tunnel, which has a total length of 6.1 km, with the Korea Expressway Corporation Seoul Gyeonggi Headquarters and for the operation of the Anmin and Jangbok tunnels with Changwon City, expanding its public infrastructure management.
