The Bangbae 7 district in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, has again entered the bidding process for a reconstruction project contractor. This is the fourth bidding attempt after three previous failed attempts.

According to the maintenance industry on the 25th, three companies, including Samsung C&T, Hanyang, and SK Ecoplant, attended the contractor site briefing held the previous day by the Bangbae 7 district reconstruction association. The intention to participate in the bidding must be submitted by the 31st of this month to qualify for the bid, and the bidding deadline is February 10 of next year.

The Bangbae 7 district redevelopment project involves the construction of apartments with a scale of 316 households across six buildings, ranging from four underground floors to 19 above ground, and public facilities in the area of 891-3 Bangbae-dong. The district covers an area of 17,549 square meters, with a total construction cost of 177.225 billion won, and the construction cost per 3.3 square meters is approximately 9.8 million won. The area is conveniently located near Naebang Station on Line 7 and Bangbae Station on Line 2, and accessible via the Seoripul Tunnel. Nearby educational institutions include Bangil Elementary School, Seocho Middle School, Bangbae Middle School, Seomun Girls' Middle and High School, Seoul High School, and Sangmun High School, contributing to a good educational environment. There are also green spaces nearby, including Cheonggye Mountain, Montmartre Park, and Seoripul Park.

Previously, two bidding attempts were made in April and June of this year, but they failed as construction companies did not participate. In the third bidding, only Samsung C&T participated and it also failed. If this bidding also fails, there is a possibility that a contractor will be selected through a negotiated contract.
