Samsung C&T Corporation and Hanwha Group's construction division will introduce the home platform 'HomeNick' to the Hanwha Foretina residential brand and plan to apply Hanwha's next-generation electric vehicle charging system to Raemian.
On the 19th, Samsung C&T signed a strategic partnership agreement with Hanwha's construction division for smart residential technology collaboration at the Hanwha Building in Janggyo-dong, Seoul. About 20 officials, including Samsung C&T's Park Min-yong, head of the development project division, and Hanwha's construction division's Kim Min-seok, head of the architectural project division, attended the agreement signing ceremony to share details about each company’s strategic products.
Through this partnership, the home platform 'HomeNick' will be introduced to Hanwha Foretina, and Samsung C&T will apply Hanwha's construction division's electric vehicle charging system 'EV Air Station' to Raemian, aiming to create ongoing synergy between the two companies.
'HomeNick' is a home platform that allows users to access all residential services, including digital smart home services, cultural activities, and health management, all at once. It recognizes users' living patterns and can control home appliances and IoT devices regardless of the brand. Moreover, it is expanding new services such as Apartment Care, which provides repair and replacement services for aging residential complexes.
Since its introduction in August last year with the dedicated app at 'Raemian One Bailey', 'HomeNick' has been actively utilized in about 50,000 households as it expands to existing residential complexes, becoming an essential service that provides residents with convenience and enriched living.
Samsung C&T plans to first apply the home platform 'HomeNick' at the Hanwha Foretina Busan Dangni complex. Based on this agreement, Samsung C&T will continue to expand 'HomeNick' to other brand apartments and will customize and enhance services by applying various functions.
Additionally, Samsung C&T plans to pilot the electric vehicle charging system 'EV Air Station' at 'Raemian Songdo Station Centripole.' 'EV Air Station' is a next-generation electric vehicle charging system with connectors coming down from the ceiling. It can charge up to three vehicles simultaneously with one charger, maximizing space utilization and reducing installation costs by about 60% compared to existing systems.
Through this partnership, the two companies plan to provide differentiated customer experiences by developing various strategic products and collaborating on smart residential technology in addition to 'HomeNick' and 'EV Air Station.'
