Daewoo Engineering & Construction announced on the 16th that it has been selected as the construction company for the 'Yeongdeungpo 1-11 redevelopment project' located at 25-18, Yeongdeungpo-dong 5ga, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the 14th.
The Yeongdeungpo 1-11 redevelopment project involves the construction of four buildings with 820 residential units, consisting of 9 underground floors and 39 above-ground floors on a site of 11,961 square meters, with a total construction cost of 510.2 billion won.
Daewoo Engineering & Construction proposed the project name 'Yeongdeungpo Summit De Ciel' for the Yeongdeungpo 1-11 redevelopment project. The name combines 'Summit,' Daewoo Engineering & Construction's high-end brand, with the French preposition 'De' and 'CIEL,' which means sky. Daewoo Engineering & Construction explained that the name reflects the company's commitment to creating a new landmark in Yeongdeungpo, valued as much as the sky.
Yeongdeungpo Summit De Ciel's exterior design is entrusted to FXCollaborative, a U.S. design firm known for its work on the New York Times Building and the Statue of Liberty Museum. For the first time in Yeongdeungpo, a sky community will be introduced, featuring a sky garden, sky lounge, and sky guesthouse. Additionally, a 185-meter walking path exclusive to residents will be developed within the complex.
Meanwhile, Daewoo Engineering & Construction is waiting for the results of the construction company selection meeting for the reconstruction project of Samik Garden Mansion in Gangdong-gu, which will be held that day.
