On the 16th, construction materials company Sampyo Group announced that it operated a counseling service for youths preparing for independence.
This counseling service was established by Sampyo Group to support youths preparing for independence who must face the world alone without helpers from their surroundings.
Previously, the social contribution team of Sampyo Group collected stories from 15 youths preparing for independence who needed advice on career concerns and everyday challenges. From the 18th to the 22nd of last month, they operated an online and offline counseling service targeting employees of all subsidiaries, including Sampyo Industries and Sampyo Cement.
Employees who participated in the counseling service empathized with the situations faced by the youths preparing for independence based on their experiences during job preparation or early career stages. They wrote messages containing realistic advice and encouragement they wanted to share with these youths. The social contribution team provided gifts to support the hopes of the youths alongside the messages. One youth preparing for independence said, "I usually didn't have a senior to talk to about my concerns, so I am grateful for listening to my worries and giving me advice," and noted, "Just knowing that there is someone supporting me has given me confidence."
A representative from Sampyo Group stated, "Psychological stability is crucial for youths preparing for independence, so we believe this counseling service can have a positive impact," and remarked, "We will continue to help youths preparing for independence achieve healthy self-reliance with confidence within a social support network."
Sampyo Group continuously shows interest and support for youths preparing to take their first steps in society. They operate the employment support activity "Cheering for You, Full of Dreams," providing opportunities for proof photos and makeup for youths preparing for jobs. Through the Seongdong District Social Venture EXPO, they also supported project costs for social venture companies and social enterprises.
