First, when President Mirziyoyev arrived at Cheong Wa Dae, traditional honor guards and a military band unit escorted the motorcade, and a total of 280 personnel, including the tri-service honor guard, lined up for an official welcome ceremony.
In addition, a children's welcoming group of about 30, including children from Uzbekistan, greeted them.
In particular, Cheong Wa Dae said it displayed the Taegeukgi and the Uzbekistan flag as a media facade on Lotte Tower in Sincheon-dong, Seoul, and also put Korean- and Uzbek-language welcome messages on the outdoor electronic billboard at Government Complex Seoul in Gwanghwamun.
About 50 figures from various sectors of both countries are scheduled to attend the state dinner in the evening.
Cheong Wa Dae said it would serve Korean cuisine that reflects President Mirziyoyev's preferences and a natural harmony of the two countries' food cultures and ingredients, including premium Korean beef, known as hanwoo, sirloin neobiani and marinated grilled lamb French rack.
Cheong Wa Dae also said it presented a red ginseng health supplement to President Mirziyoyev as a wish for health and well-being, and gifted pottery that well expresses Korean beauty to First Lady Mirziyoyeva.
