President Lee Jae-myung, on a state visit to France, is scheduled to attend the Korea-France Business Roundtable, a corporate exchange event to be held in Paris on the 8th (local time), Kang Yu-jung, the senior spokesperson, said in a written briefing.
About 30 people will attend the event, including about 20 business leaders from the two countries and government officials from both sides.
On the Korea side, business leaders will turn out in force, including The Federation of Korean Industries Chair Ryu Jin; Samsung Electronics Chair Lee Jae-yong; LS Chair Koo Ja-eun; Hyosung Chair Cho Hyun-joon; LG Electronics CEO Lyu Jae-cheol; Hyundai Motor President Sung Kim; Hanwha TotalEnergies CEO Na Sang-seop; Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon; and Celltrion CEO Seo Jin-seok.
On the France side, attendees will include France Employers Federation Korea-France Economic Cooperation Committee Chairperson François Jacqot; BNP Paribas S.A. Chair Jean Lemierre; and L'Oréal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus.
Kang, the senior spokesperson, said, "At the event, President Lee will hear corporations' views on expanding bilateral business cooperation and will emphasize the importance of economic cooperation between Korea and France, which share common values and trust at a turning point for the global economy."
