Jang Dong-hyeok of the People Power Party on the 7th urged, "Not only should the nominations of Kim Seung-won as Minister of Justice and Yong Hye-in as Minister of Gender Equality and Family be withdrawn, but the reshuffle itself should be scrapped entirely."
At a supreme council meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Jang said, "This reshuffle is tantamount to President Lee Jae-myung's declaration of giving up on the people," and added, "The goal of the reshuffle is clear: canceling indictments and taking care of the left."
Jang said, "The cringe-worthy bribery case involving candidate Kim Seung-won's older brother has come to light," and added, "The problem is that, as a result of this solicitation-and-bribery case, a drug that made lab mice cough up blood and die almost came out as a COVID-19 treatment."
Jang also criticized Yong Hye-in, the candidate for Minister of Gender Equality and Family, saying, "In the past, she said state subsidies mass-produce parasite parties, but now she is refusing to resign her proportional-representation seat to receive those state subsidies."
Jang said other Minister nominees also have problems, criticizing, "It's astonishing that they picked only people like this. If you fill the cabinet with people like this, the result is obvious: people's livelihoods in hell."
