Former Ulsan Nam-gu Chief Seo Dong-uk died of a chronic illness on the afternoon of the 10th. He was 63.
According to Nam-gu and others that day, the former district chief's chronic illness worsened on the 9th, and he was moved to Ulsan University Hospital for treatment, but did not recover and died at about 7:30 p.m. on the 10th.
The deceased was born in Ulsan in 1963, graduated from Ulsan Hakseong High School and the economics department at the University of Ulsan, and served as president of the Ulsan Junior Chamber. In 2004, running with the Hannara Party, he was elected to the Ulsan City Council and won three consecutive terms. He served as Nam-gu chief in Ulsan for the 6th, 7th and 8th popular elections.
He is survived by his spouse, Cho Sun-ae, and children, Seo Sang-u and Jin-hee. The mortuary has been set up in VIP Room 301 at Ulsan Yeongrakwon.
