Joo Jin-woo of the People Power Party said on the 9th that the National Election Commission "detected signs that it had pre-entered the number of voters in 117 precincts across three elections—the June 3 local elections, last year's presidential election, and the 2024 general election."
At a National Assembly press conference that day, Joo said, "A review of the commission's log records found that, while entering the hourly turnout, the commission falsely wrote in the number of voters for 117 precincts more than 1 hour and 30 minutes early."
According to Joo, during the June 3 local elections, the number of voters as of 1 p.m. for Precincts 1, 2 and 3 in Haan 4-dong, Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, was entered at around 11:28 a.m. In last year's presidential election, the 4 p.m. voter counts for three precincts in Jungnim-dong, Seoul, were entered at around 2:31 p.m. In the 2024 general election, the 6 p.m. voter counts for two precincts in Namil-myeon, Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, were reportedly entered at around 4:30 p.m.
Joo said, "This 'time machine manipulation input' was found in 47 places in the local elections, 26 in the presidential election, and 44 in the general election." He added, "In particular, there were cases where the initial input time for multiple eup, myeon and dong precincts was exactly the same," saying, "This shows that a single commission employee falsely entered large amounts of data for multiple polling stations all at once."
Joo said, "The joint investigation headquarters should not limit the scope of its probe to the local elections but expand the investigation into turnout manipulation in the last presidential and general elections and immediately move to a compulsory investigation."
