Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation (KOMSCO) (President Seong Chang-hun) said on the 7th that it discussed the "80th anniversary future vision" with former presidents. KOMSCO marks its 75th anniversary this year and will reach its 80th in five years. The former presidents proposed "1 trillion won in sales" and "the world's first digital minting institution" as the future vision for the 80th anniversary.
According to the corporation, the meeting was attended by former presidents Park Won-chul (18th), Lee Hae-seong (19th), Jeon Yong-hak (20th), Yoon Young-dae (21st), Kim Hwa-dong (22nd), and Ban Jang-sik (24th). They rated highly that the corporation achieved the highest-ever sales last year (639.5 billion won) and received an A grade in the 2025 public institution management evaluation.
President Seong Chang-hun said the 80th anniversary vision of "1 trillion won in sales" and "the world's first digital minting institution" proposed by former CEOs will be examined in depth through internal discussions and expert seminars.
