President Lee Jae-myung reviewed measures to expand supply volumes and shorten supply timelines at the second real estate policy review meeting. The meeting lasted a total of six hours.
The president presided over the second real estate policy review meeting from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the 7th. It came four days after holding the first meeting immediately upon returning from an overseas trip on the 3rd.
In the meeting, the president received reports from Ministers and the Chairperson on financial support plans to promote the supply of dwellings and on measures to induce early real estate supply.
The president then asked Ministers, including Prime Minister Han Seong-sook, to "not cling to the existing mindset but make transformative judgments to think boldly and act" on the supply of dwellings.
Kang Yu-jung, senior presidential spokesperson, said in a written briefing after the meeting, "Over the six-hour meeting, broad proposals were made for an all-out supply expansion and swift execution plans for it, and a thorough review was conducted." However, specifics such as the exact supply scale were not disclosed.
