The government said it will create 300,000 youth jobs and startups by expanding private and public jobs and fostering young entrepreneurs.
The government announced this at a meeting of the emergency economic headquarters and a meeting of officials on economic and structural reform held at Government Complex Seoul on the 6th.
Along with job creation, the government plans to train more than 200,000 specialists in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) by 2030. It will also expand support systems across all stages of job seeking, hiring, onboarding, and growth, and build a platform to match young people with actual jobs.
After discussions that day, the government plans to soon announce a "plan to restore youth jobs" that includes these measures.
