Accordingly, through the amendment to the Enforcement Decree of the Tourism Promotion Act, the government established rules requiring the posting and compliance of rate charts and strengthened legal sanctions so that if room rates are not posted or if more than the posted rate is charged, a business suspension (five days) is imposed immediately upon the first violation.
The Ministry of Strategy and Finance said the policy will be expanded to the taxi industry and food service businesses through revisions to the Enforcement Rules of the Taxi Development Act and the Enforcement Rules of the Food Sanitation Act.
