President Lee Jae-myung arrived at San Francisco International Airport at about 8:29 a.m. on the 24th (local time).
The president is scheduled to meet in turn with Dario Amodei, Anthropic chief executive officer (CEO); Sam Altman, OpenAI CEO; Jensen Huang, Nvidia CEO; and Hock Tan, Broadcom president and CEO.
The president will also visit the "artificial intelligence (AI) summit," which will include U.S. big tech officials; Lee Jae-yong, Samsung Electronics(005930) chairman; Chey Tae-won, SK(034730) Group chairman; Chung Eui-sun, Hyundai Motor(005380) Group chairman; and Lee Hae-jin, Naver(NAVER(035420)) chairman.
At the AI summit, the president is set to announce the "San Francisco AI declaration." Kim Yong-beom, presidential policy chief, said large-scale contracts between domestic corporations and U.S. big tech are also expected in connection with the president's trip to the United States.
After wrapping up his two-day schedule in San Francisco, the president plans to visit three South American countries—Brazil, Chile and Argentina—starting on the 26th.
