Former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo said on the 5th, "Didn't we say that if we elect Choo Kyung-ho, all of Daegu's 100-year future projects would fall through?" adding, "In the quadrillions won project jointly invested in by the government and corporations, Daegu didn't bring in even 1 won."
Hong, the former mayor, wrote on Facebook that day, "Didn't we say during the last local election to elect Kim Boo-kyum to complete Daegu's 100-year future?" He also said, "The priority task of this government is to settle the 'insurrection,' and regardless of guilt or innocence, didn't we say that if Choo Kyung-ho is elected, all of the 100-year future projects for Daegu would fall through?"
He went on, "The saying 'give an extra rice cake to the one you dislike' is just a proverb, and in reality the one you dislike doesn't get a single rice cake." He added, "Even during the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, Daegu's lawmakers who barely mattered—what countermeasures or policies do they have?" and said, "They are just keeping their seats."
Hong, the former mayor, said, "You people will just have to live as a Galápagos island together with the local power brokers for the next four years," adding, "If those investments become a reality, Daegu will never escape last place in GRDP (real gross regional domestic product)."
