Prime Minister Han Seong-sook said on the 5th that "if we carry out the three mega projects with speed, we will be able to open a new era of growth for Korea."
In her opening remarks at the high-level party-government meeting held at the prime minister's residence in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, that day, Han said, "The three mega projects are a very challenging task that consolidates semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, and physical AI into one big picture to shape national competitiveness over the next three years," and stated accordingly.
She went on to say, "Korea has the world's top competitiveness in the field of informatization and has experience achieving success in industrialization and informatization more than any other country." She added, "In the AI era, we have ample potential and a foundation to lead the world."
Han said, "If the party, government, presidential office, and even the private sector become one team, good results will come," adding, "To turn this national vision into concrete outcomes, we need to join forces even more."
Han said, "Responding to external economic uncertainties and restoring the livelihood economy is a major task given to me," adding, "The government will carefully look after everything from grocery prices to the burden on ordinary people." Han added, "Bills directly tied to restoring the livelihood economy need to pass the National Assembly as soon as possible to inject vitality into the field," and "the government will do its best, so we ask the National Assembly for active attention."
