President Lee Jae-myung set off on a tour of Europe to attend the Group of Seven (G7) summit and arrived in Brussels, Belgium, on the 9th local time. Lee is scheduled to begin the trip with a dinner meeting with expatriates the same day.
On the morning of the 10th, he plans to hold a summit with Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever and meet with King Philippe.
On the afternoon of the same day, summits are scheduled with European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
The summit with Belgium is expected to cover boosting bilateral trade, expanding cooperation among small and midsize enterprises, and exchanges between educational institutions. With the EU, trade and security cooperation are expected to be the main agenda items.
