Shin Dong-wook, a lawmaker serving as the People Power Party's fair election safe voting committee chair, protested at the National Election Commission in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi, on the 3rd over ballot shortages reported in parts of Seoul during the June 3 local elections and said, "The vote count must not proceed in this state."
On Facebook the same day, Shin said, "I arrived at the National Election Commission and found a total mess," and stated accordingly.
The People Power Party's Seoul chapter said that, based on its own review as of 6 p.m. that day, ballot shortages were identified at a total of 12 polling stations: Songpa-gu Munjeong 1-dong No. 4 polling station, Munjeong 2-dong No. 2 polling station, Jamsil 2-dong No. 6 polling station, Jamsil 7-dong No. 2 polling station, Jamsil 4-dong No. 5 polling station, Garak 2-dong Nos. 3 and 7 polling stations, Wirye-dong No. 5 polling station, Gangnam-gu Cheongdam-dong No. 4 polling station, Gaepo 2-dong No. 2 polling station, Gwangjin-gu Guui 3-dong No. 6 polling station, and Dongjak-gu Noryangjin 1-dong No. 7 polling station.
It also explained that tipster videos are pouring in from each polling station where ballot shortages occurred.
