Cho Kuk, the Rebuilding Korea Party candidate running in the Pyeongtaek B by-election in Gyeonggi, appealed for support on the main voting day on the 3rd, saying voters should "vote for Cho Kuk to complete the real Pyeongtaek."
Cho said on Facebook that day, "Today is the time of Pyeongtaek citizens, the sovereigns, the day to complete your earnest wishes with your votes."
Cho said, "Two former presidents who betrayed the people and were impeached appealed for support for the People Power Party. It is a deception of Pyeongtaek citizens and the people, who are the sovereigns, and a challenge to democracy," adding, "From Pyeongtaek, firmly judge the insurrectionist far-right political forces that are incessantly trying to drag Korea backward, and make it clear so that the People Power Party, which defends the insurrection, and election deniers chanting Yoon again can no longer deceive Pyeongtaek citizens or block Pyeongtaek's future."
He continued, "I prepared and prepared with a sense of urgency more than anyone. I have never done politics only with words, and I have always proven it with actions," stressing, "If given the chance to work for Pyeongtaek's future, I will devote all my capabilities to resolving Pyeongtaek's long-awaited projects more loyally than anyone. I will surely help our Pyeongtaek leap forward into the 'real Pyeongtaek' where everyone prospers together."
He added, "The reforms the people want must not stop. The broad democratic camp must unite under one big tent to support President Lee Jae-myung's greater success," and said, "After the election, the National Assembly must boldly move in earnest toward the real Korea after the insurrection."
Cho said, "I am convinced that this Pyeongtaek B National Assembly by-election is not simply about one lawmaker, but that a great worker who will contribute to Korean politics must be elected," adding, "I will practice big politics centered on the people so as not to betray the expectations of Pyeongtaek citizens."
He went on to say, "Voting can turn hope into reality. To complete the real Pyeongtaek, and to complete political innovation in Korea and prosecutorial reform, please vote for Cho Kuk," appealing, "For the grand unity of the broad democratic camp, and for the expansion and success of the popular sovereignty government, please make sure to vote for Cho Kuk."
