At Jamsil 7-dong No. 2 polling station, the removal of the ballot box is being delayed. Even though it is past 10 p.m., the time the National Election Commission pushed back, the ballot box has not been taken out of the polling station. With YouTubers gathering in addition to residents, scuffles and tussles are breaking out.
Around 11 p.m. on the 3rd, hundreds of people gathered at the senior center of Jamsil Woosung Apartment, where the Jamsil 7-dong No. 2 polling station was set up. Not only apartment residents and local voters but also YouTubers alleging "election fraud" have mixed together, with shouting and scuffling continuing.
That afternoon, the National Election Commission handed out waiting number slips to voters at the polling station who could not vote due to a shortage of ballots. It allowed them to vote until 10 p.m. However, as residents and YouTubers gathered, the polling station doors were locked, and around 9:50 p.m., there were even residents who left without being able to vote.
When among the angry residents someone shouted "election fraud," an argument broke out between residents. After that, protests and tussles continued over the closing of voting.
A tussle also broke out between residents and YouTubers. When some YouTubers tried to enter the polling station, residents tried to stop them, saying, "It must not become like the Western District Court incident." With hundreds of people gathered at the front and back gates of the polling station, the National Election Commission locked the ballot counting room and has been unable to remove the ballot box.
The National Election Commission is said to have requested police assistance to remove the ballot box.
