In JTBC's projection for the June 3 local elections and National Assembly by-elections, the Democratic Party of Korea led in 10 of the 16 metropolitan mayor and governor races. The People Power Party led in one, North Gyeongsang, and the other five were classified as toss-ups.
Regions where the Democratic Party of Korea is ahead are Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Daejeon, Sejong, Ulsan, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Gwangju–South Jeolla, and Jeju.
In the Seoul mayoral race, Chong Won-o of the Democratic Party of Korea had 53.5% and Oh Se-hoon of the People Power Party had 42.9%. In the Busan mayoral race, Chun Jae-soo of the Democratic Party had 53.9% and Park Heong-joon of the People Power Party had 44.4%.
In the Incheon mayoral race, Park Chan-dae of the Democratic Party had 56.6% and Yoo Jeong-bok of the People Power Party had 42.1%, while in the Daejeon mayoral race, Heo Tae-jung of the Democratic Party had 59.7% and Lee Jang-woo of the People Power Party had 36.8%.
In the Sejong mayoral race, Cho Sang-ho of the Democratic Party had 60.7% and Choi Min-ho of the People Power Party had 35.8%, while in the Ulsan mayoral race, Kim Sang-uk of the Democratic Party had 51.6% and Kim Doo-kyum of the People Power Party had 39.2%.
In the Gyeonggi governor race, Choo Mi-ae of the Democratic Party had 56.4% and Yang Hyang-ja of the People Power Party had 37.2%, while in the Gangwon governor race, Woo Sang-ho of the Democratic Party had 56.9% and Kim Jin-tae of the People Power Party had 43.1%.
In Gwangju–South Jeolla, Min Hyeong-bae of the Democratic Party had 79.3% and Lee Jung-hyun of the People Power Party had 11.8%, while in the Jeju governor race, Wi Seong-gon of the Democratic Party had 63.9% and Moon Seong-yu of the People Power Party had 33.0%.
The People Power Party led in North Gyeongsang. In the North Gyeongsang governor race, Lee Cheol-gu of the People Power Party had 63.6% and Oh Jung-gi of the Democratic Party had 36.4%.
In the Busan Buk-gap National Assembly by-election, Han Dong-hoon, an independent, had 48.1% and Ha Jung-woo of the Democratic Party had 37.6%. In the Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek-eul re-election, Kim Yong-nam of the Democratic Party had 34.25 and Cho Kuk, an independent, had 31.6%.
