Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party candidate for Seoul mayor, cast early voting on the 29th. At 8 a.m. that day, Oh visited the early voting station set up at the Hannam-dong community center with his spouse.
After voting, Oh met with reporters and said, "This election is more meaningful than any other," adding, "The Lee Jae-myung administration has begun to run roughshod, and if the Democratic Party candidate happens to win, the administration's unchecked drive that has been put off, including a special counsel for dismissal of indictments, will begin."
He added, "I hope voters will think about what can help the president lead state affairs with a more humble mindset through this election."
Oh also said, "Before I returned, Seoul went through a drought of about 10 years, and it has only just been restored to its original state," adding, "Now an absolutely critical timing has come when we can truly promise a great leap forward, so I hope through this election we can draw a bright future for Seoul together."
On this day, Oh will officially resume his campaign activities, which had been halted after the collapse accident at the Seosomun overpass demolition site. Oh plans to visit five districts in sequence, starting with Dobong-gu, then Seodaemun-gu, Songpa-gu, and others, to campaign.
On this, Oh said, "It was truly regrettable that the campaign was effectively suspended for three days," adding, "In that sense, starting today I will visit even one more place and do my utmost to persuade even one more voter to come out to the polls."
He continued, "This election is about protecting Seoul," adding, "In that sense, I hope Seoul residents will take interest, be sure to come to the polls, and shape Seoul's future."
Oh also shared his thoughts on the Seoul mayoral candidate TV debate hosted the previous day by the election broadcasting commission.
Oh said, "Yesterday's debate was not a format where you could say everything you wanted," adding, "It was not a debate where, on a single topic, arguments, rebuttals, and counter‑rebuttals could unfold in depth at ease; rather, after a one‑sided claim, you were chased by the clock in that kind of format."
He then renewed a request to the candidate Chong for a debate on major pending issues such as dwellings.
Oh said, "I hope we can have a truly in‑depth debate with sufficient time, even on the single topic of the dwellings issue that especially interests Seoul residents," adding, "Once again, I ask candidate Chong Won-o."
