People Power Party lawmaker Lee Jong-bae on the 28th criticized, saying, "Why is the Lee Jae-myung administration silent about the Namu-ho incident, when it said it would ruin anyone who touches Korean nationals?"
In a Facebook post that day, the lawmaker said, "The government announced that the Namu-ho, a tanker with six Korean crew members aboard, was found to have been hit by Iran's Noor anti-ship cruise missile," and noted, "Even though Iran's state TV openly said it was a missile attack, claiming that a 'Korean ship became a target for violating new maritime rules set by Iran,' the Lee Jae-myung administration hurried to hide the incident, talking about a 'ship fire' and an 'unidentified projectile.'"
He continued, "In Oct. last year, President Lee Jae-myung declared to Cambodian groups committing various scams such as voice phishing against our nationals that 'we must make it clear that if you touch Koreans, you will be ruined,'" and said, "The Namu-ho incident was a more serious military attack than a scam, and even though the lives of our nationals were threatened, the Lee Jae-myung administration is turning away."
The lawmaker said, "If the government keeps talking about being cautious even after a missile attack, how can the public trust Korea's security?" and added, "If the Lee Jae-myung administration truly cares about the lives of the Korean people, it must take strong measures against the Iranian government."
He added, "If it is President Lee Jae-myung, who said he would arrest Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu for blocking a few activists from entering the Gaza Strip, I believe he will make the Iranian government pay an even higher price."
