The Presidential Security Service will hire new Grade-7 security civil servants from the 15th to the 30th of next month. This is the first time the service has hired entry-level staff since the launch of the Lee Jae-myung administration. It comes one year after the full cancellation of ongoing entry-level and experienced open recruitment in June last year, right after the president's inauguration.
According to the Presidential Security Service, the number of new hires is 00. Applications are accepted by email, and the final successful candidates will be announced in December after a written test, a physical fitness test, and an in-depth interview. The written test will be held on July 18, alongside the first-stage Public Service Aptitude Test (PSAT) for the Grade-7 open competitive recruitment by the Ministry of Personnel Management.
The Presidential Security Service said, "Security officers must not only have a high level of expertise to safeguard the head of state, but also necessarily possess the ability to communicate flexibly by upholding constitutional values and minimizing inconvenience to the public," and added, "We look forward to many applications from capable and passionate talents who, based on rigorous self-discipline and a steadfast sense of duty, will help open the era of 'smart security' built on cutting-edge science and technology."
The Presidential Security Service said this recruitment emphasizes finding talent suited to "open, low-profile security" and "smart security incorporating cutting-edge science and technology." Requirements, submission documents, and the detailed schedule for the process can be found on the official website of the Presidential Security Service.
