Jang Dong-hyeok of the People Power Party lashed out at the Lee Jae-myung administration's real estate policy.
Jang said in a post on Facebook on the 10th, "Home prices across Seoul rose again except in Gangnam. Is this Lee Jae-myung's 'surgical strike'?" adding, "Since the Gangnam you hate to death fell, is Lee Jae-myung smiling?"
Jang said, "If the heavy capital gains tax on real estate transactions kicks in starting today, prices will rise further," adding, "Everyone is pulling listings off the market."
He went on, "Jeonse has dried up, and monthly rents have risen by hundreds of thousands of won from last year. In Gangbuk District, they are up 260,000 won to 990,000 won, and in Yongsan District, they are up 690,000 won to a whopping 3.13 million won," adding, "The jeonse and monthly rent market has already gone as far as it can go."
Jang argued, "Once the election is over, they will raise the property holding tax and abolish the special long-term holding deduction," adding, "Real hell is waiting."
Jang added, "Lee Jae-myung insists on calling it 'real estate normalization' even if it kills him," saying, "The mental state that believes this is normal is abnormal."
