Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party candidate for Seoul mayor, on the 9th aimed at Chong Won-o, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for Seoul mayor, and said it was "a stage where the overpackaging is being resolved after tearing open the nitrogen packaging." He then predicted that the support shown in opinion polls would gradually decline.
After releasing pledges for the "4050 generation" at his campaign office in Jongno District, Seoul, that day, Oh was asked by reporters about approval ratings and said, "I've heard quite a lot on broadcasts that the gap is narrowing," adding, "As time goes by, the focus will inevitably be on candidate competitiveness."
He added, "I expect the gap will narrow as time goes by," and said, "For elections in the capital region, including Seoul, I will make it a principle to run them, if possible, on the candidate's brand and message."
Oh again proposed a one-on-one debate aimed at Chong. He said, "At the Kwanhun debate, they wanted to invite (Oh and Chong) to debate, but Chong ultimately refused and asked for separate sessions."
