The Democratic Party of Korea moved to adjust the pace regarding the special counsel for alleged fabricated indictment.
On the morning of the 6th at the National Assembly, after finishing the Supreme Council meeting, Democratic Party chief spokesperson Kang Jun-hyeon met with reporters and said, "Because the special counsel bill is an issue within the floor, the leadership, including the floor leader, will discuss it under a roadmap through various opinion-gathering procedures, discussions, and deliberation procedures," adding, "The deliberation procedures are expected to take time physically."
Kang added, "Judging from precedent, there has never been a case where discussions and deliberation procedures on major bills proceeded quickly or swiftly." Although he did not specify a particular time frame, it effectively formalized the stance of handling it after the local elections.
Kang said, "As is customary, bills have undergone sufficient deliberation procedures regarding their content at the general meeting of lawmakers. That process will take place," adding, "If we weigh priorities, wouldn't it be the content (discussion)?"
