President Lee Jae-myung appointed former lawmaker Kang Chang-il as senior vice chairperson of the National Unification Advisory Council.
Lee Gyu-yeon, senior presidential secretary for public relations and communication, held a briefing on the 16th and announced government personnel appointments, including the senior vice chairperson of the National Unification Advisory Council.
Kang Chang-il, a Halla University professor who served in the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th National Assembly, was appointed senior vice chairperson of the National Unification Advisory Council.
Kim Gwi-ok, a Hansung University professor, was appointed standing commissioner of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission; Lee Chang-hoon, a Seoul National University Graduate School of Environmental Studies professor, was appointed chairperson of the National Climate Crisis Response Commission; Kim Jin-o, former CBS president, was appointed vice chairperson of the Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy; and Park Jin-kyung, secretary general of the Work and Leisure Culture Research Institute, was appointed standing commissioner of the Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy.
