Minister Ahn Gyu-baek of the Ministry of National Defense visited the 8th Fighter Wing in Wonju, Gangwon, on the 7th and gave a special lecture to all Air Force battalion commanders to strengthen their leadership capabilities, the Ministry of National Defense said.
In the lecture, the Minister presented "bonrip-doseong (本立道生)" as the most important principle in carrying out a commander's role. The Minister said, "A commander's diligent steps, cool-headed gaze, and meticulous touch are the most certain way to protect safety in the field," and emphasized, "You must thoroughly implement the basic principle of plan, execute, check, and inspect in every task."
More than 200 people attended the lecture, including Air Force Chief of Staff Son Seok-rak, key officials at Air Force Headquarters, and Air Force battalion commanders
After the lecture, the Minister visited the base's fuel storage facilities to check fuel storage and management conditions, emergency response systems, and supply status. The Minister emphasized, "From peacetime, maintain readiness through stable fuel procurement and flawless management."
