President Lee Jae-myung said on the 5th, "We will do everything we can to overcome the national crisis caused by the Middle East war," adding, "We will respond with extraordinary resolve by using all available policy means."
At a congratulatory address during the Easter joint service held at Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul that afternoon, the president stated accordingly, "We will make sure this crisis does not grow into a bigger one and that the lives of those in difficult circumstances do not become more distressed."
He went on, "Today we face many challenges and uncertainties. The order that supported peace and prosperity around the world is weakening, and conflict and strife, not solidarity and harmony, are intensifying," adding, "Recently, due to the Middle East war, the global economy has been rocking severely."
The president also said, "Our economy, which had been in a recovery phase, is being directly affected, and our neighbors in difficult conditions are going through even harder times," adding, "All the more at a time like this, we should reflect deeply again on the meaning of resurrection along with today's themes of peace and love."
He continued, "I believe that practicing peace instead of conflict and love instead of hate is the right way to serve Jesus' will," adding, "To overcome the crisis we face, what matters most is uniting the hearts of the people."
