President Lee Jae-myung on the 5th, marking Easter, said he earnestly hopes "the miracle of resurrection that moves us toward peace instead of confrontation and division, and toward love instead of hatred and conflict, will be realized in our society today."
On this day, the president, quoting the Bible verse "Peace be with you" on Facebook, stated accordingly.
He added, "(The verse) was the first message the resurrected Jesus Christ delivered when appearing to disciples trembling with fear," and said, "It offers unwavering comfort and courage to us as well, who are striving to live in our respective places amid anxiety caused by the Middle East war."
The president also said, "The Republic of Korea will, with one heart, gather its will and wisely overcome this crisis," and added, "I pray that blessed peace and grace will fully come upon the entire nation and its people."
