The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on the 30th that evacuations of Koreans are continuing in Iraq, Lebanon and elsewhere due to the fallout from the Middle East war.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 30th, from the 18th to the 29th, 60 Korean corporate expatriates in Iraq evacuated to nearby countries including Kuwait, Türkiye and Jordan. The embassy in Iraq said it communicated with the expatriates, recommended departure, and helped ensure their entry and exit procedures went smoothly.
On the 27th, three Koreans evacuated from Lebanon to Türkiye. Five staff members from the embassy in Lebanon accompanied them for about 12 hours as they transited through Syria to Türkiye, and the mission provided armored vehicles.
