Jang Dong-hyeok of the People Power Party on the 29th targeted Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker Chun Jae-soo, who is expected to run in the June 3 local elections and the National Assembly by-elections, former Minjoo Research Institute deputy director Kim Yong, and former lawmaker Song Young-gil, saying it is a "golden age for criminals."
Jang shared on his Facebook page an article titled "Being investigated over Unification Church allegations… ruling party holds Chun Jae-soo's Busan mayoral primary" and wrote as follows.
He said, "Lawmaker Chun Jae-soo, who threw a hard disk into a field ridge; Kim Yong, former Minjoo Research Institute deputy director, who took 670 million won in bribes and received five years in prison on appeal; Song Young-gil, former lawmaker and main culprit in the party convention cash-envelope scandal; these are the Democratic Party candidates set to run in this local election and the by-elections."
He added, calling it a "golden age for criminals," that "the people will judge this 'arrogance.'"
