According to the senior public officials' asset disclosure data released on the 26th by the Government Public Officials' Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Personnel Management, the president reported 4.977 billion won in assets. The held dwelling is one apartment in Bundang, and there is a leasehold right for one apartment (480 million won) in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, which was the constituency during the Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker term.
The president's own deposits increased by about 1.5 billion won to 1.939 billion won. The spouse's deposits are 1.049 billion won. The 1.888 billion won increase includes congratulatory gifts for a child, royalties from book sales, ETF (exchange-traded fund) valuation gains, and salary increases.
In addition, cash increased by 250 million won under items such as "family events" related to the eldest son's marriage. The eldest son, Dong-ho, married on June 14 last year, right after the president took office. For publication copyrights, the president has 1.56 billion won and the spouse 6 million won. The eldest son holds half the equity in a leasehold right (135 million won) for an apartment in Sokcho, Gangwon, and virtual assets worth 41 million won (XRP, Tether).
