First lady Kim Hea-kyung, the wife of President Lee Jae-myung, paid her respects on the 21st at the mourning altar for the mother of former President Moon Jae-in's spouse, Kim Jung-sook.
According to the presidential office, Kim visited the funeral hall at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital on the afternoon of the day, where the wake was set up for the late Lee Byung-hwan, the late mother of Kim Jung-sook and mother-in-law of former President Moon, to honor the deceased and comfort the family.
After paying her respects, Kim conveyed her deep condolences to former President Moon and Kim Jung-sook.
Meanwhile, President Lee visited the site of the factory fire in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, which caused major casualties, on the day to inspect search and rescue operations for the damage and the missing.
