President Lee Jae-myung will preside over an emergency economic review meeting on the 9th to examine the economy and prices amid instability in the Middle East.
The Blue House said in a notice on the 8th that Lee will preside over an emergency economic review meeting to examine the economy and prices related to the Middle East situation at 11 a.m. on the 9th.
At this meeting, relevant ministries including the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment (MCEE), the Ministry of Planning and Budget, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Korea Fair Trade Commission, and the National Tax Service are expected to attend.
The meeting is expected to review the potential volatility of international oil and raw material prices due to recent instability in the Middle East, as well as the impact on domestic prices and industry.
