The presidential office said on the 28th that it will hold a National Security Council (NSC) working-level meeting at 7 p.m. that day in connection with U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran.
The presidential office added, "Diplomatic and security ministries are expected to take part in the meeting."
Earlier, President Lee Jae-myung was briefed on the matter, reviewed the domestic impact and future measures, and directed, "Please prioritize the safety of our nationals in Iran and nearby regions."
CNN reported that day that U.S. forces are currently bombing Tehran, Iran, and a U.S. government official said, "The current airstrikes are focused on Iran's military targets."
Israel's Minister of Defense also announced that day that a preemptive missile strike had been carried out against Iran.
