Minister Ahn Gyu-baek of the Ministry of National Defense on the 28th ordered relevant departments at the Ministry of National Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) to immediately review the status of deployed units, including the Dongmyeong and Cheonghae units, in connection with U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.
At the same time, the Ministry of National Defense said Minister Ahn ordered that missions be carried out with the safety of service members as the top priority.
On the same day, U.S. broadcaster CNN reported that U.S. forces are currently bombing Tehran, Iran, and a government official noted that "the current airstrikes are focused on Iran's military targets."
Israel's Minister of the Ministry of National Defense also announced that day that it carried out a preemptive missile strike against Iran.
